A bold, sweeping stroke of pale glaze—a form of hakeme (brushwork)—creates a dramatic visual contrast against the dark base, adding movement and energy to the cylindrical form.

The rustic driftwood handle (Nagaregi) is a truly unique feature. The vase is adorned with a piece of natural, weathered wood or branch secured as a handle. The top rim features an intentionally rugged, uneven, or fractured design, perfectly complementing the handmade, imperfect beauty of the piece.
