Rare Scavo Glass Vase with Verdisgris Bronze base | Art Deco

Stunning vintage art deco style vase with a bold patinated bronze zig-zag base. Likely produced in Italy in the 1980s using a "scavo" decorating glass-making technique where salts and ashes are fused together to the surface of the glass to create the rough textured looking and feeling on this cup-shaped glass shade. Likely hand-blown glass. The glass is translucent and can make a great candle holder allowing the light to flicker through beautifully. Use it as a vase and display a bright flower arrangement for a bold contrast or use neutrals and greens to compliment the green art deco bronzed base. A truly unique and rare piece.
